The Land RPG Roll20 Companion

The Land RPG Roll20 Companion lets the Chaos character generator send rolls and character sheet updates to your open Roll20 game.

You need a desktop browser, an open Roll20 game tab, and your character open in the Chaos generator.

Install the Companion

Download the published browser companion for the browser you use at the table.

After installation, keep both Chaos and your Roll20 game open in desktop browser tabs.

Open Roll20

  1. Open your Roll20 campaign in a tab.
  2. Make sure you are inside the game table, not just the campaign details page.
  3. Keep the Roll20 chat visible if you are testing rolls.

Prepare Your Character

  1. Open the Chaos character generator in another tab.
  2. Open the Game Links section.
  3. Add your character token to the Roll20 board.
  4. Wait for your Game Master to link your token to the correct character sheet.
  5. Ask your Game Master for the Roll20 Game ID and Roll20 Character ID.
  6. Paste those values into the Chaos generator.

Before Updating The Roll20 Sheet

Close the Roll20 character sheet before pressing Update your Roll20 Character Sheet.

If the sheet is open and focused, Roll20 may write update commands into an ability box instead of chat.

Update The Character Sheet

  1. Confirm the Roll20 Game ID and Roll20 Character ID fields are filled in.
  2. Close the Roll20 character sheet window.
  3. Click Update your Roll20 Character Sheet in the Chaos generator.
  4. Wait for the status line to say the update is finished.
  5. Reopen the Roll20 character sheet and review the imported values.
