Welcome to The Land: Roleplaying System.
Playing a tabletop RPG can feel a little intimidating at first, but honestly, it’s just a group of friends sitting together and telling a story. That’s the heart of The Land: Roleplaying System.
You don’t need to memorize a bunch of rules or “win” every encounter. All you really do is listen to what’s happening in the world, tell everyone what your Chaos Seed wants to do, and figure things out together with the group. Sometimes you’ll fight monsters, sometimes you’ll negotiate with shady factions, and sometimes you’ll be solving mysteries or just trying to survive dangerous places. It’s all about imagination, teamwork, and creating stories you’ll still be talking about years later.
Your character is your role in that story. Every Chaos Seed has their own strengths, weaknesses, fears, quirks, and dreams. Maybe your warrior rushes headfirst into danger with zero hesitation, while your scholar prefers to hang back, find clever solutions, and avoid the fighting altogether. There’s no single “right” way to play. In fact, some of the most fun moments come from your character’s flaws and mistakes—those failed plans, bad dice rolls, and “oh crap” moments often turn into the best memories.
At the end of the day, this is a collaborative game. The Auditor sets the scene and describes the world, but you and the other players bring it to life with your choices and creativity. You don’t need to be a great actor or a fantasy expert. If you can imagine yourself in a story, react to what’s happening, and throw out ideas, you’ve already got everything you need.
So jump in, stay curious, be brave, and don’t be afraid to get a little messy. Every Chaos Seed leaves the world of The Land a little different—and that’s exactly how it should be.
