Clinging Shadow infuses Dark Magic with an unsettling, oppressive force that lingers long after the spell is cast. Each rank in this subskill grants a 1% bonus to the Accuracy of Dark Magic spells, ensuring that the caster’s shadowy attacks strike with greater precision and make it harder for enemies to avoid them.
Additionally, for every point of damage dealt by a Dark Magic spell, the target’s movement speed is reduced until the end of their next turn. This penalty is either equal to the caster’s ranks in Clinging Shadow or the amount of damage done by the spell, whichever is smaller. The clinging shadow wraps around the target, slowing their movement as if the very darkness is weighing them down, hindering their ability to escape or react swiftly.
Casters who specialize in Clinging Shadow are adept at using the very essence of darkness to bind and trap their enemies. Their shadowy spells don’t just harm their foes—they also leave them crippled, making it harder for them to escape or defend themselves. Each strike with Dark Magic not only damages but also ensnares, ensuring that the target is slowed by the very shadows that they cannot escape.
These bonuses are not automatically added to the Roll20 Character Sheet, and must be added manually.
