What is The Land RPG?
The Land RPG is a skill-driven tabletop roleplaying game set within the universe of The Land, brought to life through a custom d100 Accuracy system that rewards ingenuity, adaptability, and clever application of abilities. It is different from other Tabletop Role-Playing Games (TTRPGs) in that you are not bound to titles or roles when you create or advance your character. Every character grows organically through skills, subskills, attributes, and choices.
This will create amazing opportunities for your character as you have more options to build, but also creates deficiencies in parties that may not exist in other campaign systems. Success depends on your mastery of what you can do, or what your allies can do with you. You gain Ranks, improve Affinities, and shape your identity through repeated use and exploration.
Combat is fast, tactical, and lethal. Magic is vast, multifaceted, and deeply connected to the world’s metaphysics. Runic Magic allows you to reshape symbols of creation itself. And the Red Venom Plains serve as a natural crucible: unforgiving, unpredictable, but brimming with opportunity. And Fun. Lots of Fun. Sorry it took us a few pages to get that word into there. But while the books can be edgy and fast paced, The Land RPG covers contents from serious to silly, for Roleplaying and Roll-playing and Craft-playing (and everything in-between).

This RPG is a fan-created, non-commercial project inspired by Aleron Kong’s Chaos Seeds novels. It is produced with specific permission for this project alone, and is meant for home use only—similar to fanfiction. Nothing here is official or canonical.
No one outside of this project may publish, monetize, or distribute material drawn from The Land, the Red Venom Plains, or the associated metaphysics. This rulebook does not use characters, villages, or storylines from the novels. Instead, it is set on a distant continent, separate from the events of the books. Every location, faction, creature, and plot hook presented here is wholly original, while still honoring the metaphysical foundations of the series.
Readers of the novels will recognize the structure of mana, the roles of Courts, the existence of Chaos Seeds, and the presence of the Labyrinth. New players will find a fully self-contained world ready for adventure.

The Red Venom Plains is a gaming campaign loosely based on the Chaos Seeds books by Aleron Kong. It is a fan-made LitRPG project that allows players to explore alternate parts of the world based on his literary masterpieces, shaping the future of the world in amazing ways.
Our roleplaying system does its best to expand the world created by Aleron Kong into a setting of intrigue and high adventure. The campaign staff has worked within very specific guidelines to ensure our players have the opportunity to experience life as a creature brought into an ancient world known as ‘The Land’.
We once called our campaign “The Land: Roleplaying System”, but due to copyright issues, we felt it was best to change our campaign name to the “The Red Venom Plains Campaign Setting”, to protect Dr. Kong.
LitRPG is a genre of books wherein the reader is transported into a new world with a sense of remembrance from the previous existence; and Chaos Seeds is a term Dr. Kong uses in his books to describe creatures with Souls of Chaos, born to create change wherever they go. You were not the first Chaos Seed to enter The Land, nor will you be the last.
The Lords of Chaos have placed you in the Red Venom Plains for unknown purposes. Your presence will certainly destabilize a region that has been locked in a repetitive cycle for millennia. The Land has responded by changing the way magic affects you, and those like you.
You are part of the “Third Generation” of Chaos Seeds to arrive in The Land. For you, all actions, positive and negative, are a matter of chance. When you cast a spell, it may have different effects than when a native of The Land casts it, or even when another Chaos Seed casts it. Your ability to learn and progress varies from others in The Land, including the Chaos Seeds that arrived before you.
Upon exiting the Sea of Chaos, you know there is only one truth that matters – you need to survive. To aid your chances of survival, the Lords of Chaos have allowed you to enter the Red Venom Plains in small groups of four to six Chaos Seeds. You will also be formed with rudimentary weapons and armor, and a basic knowledge of magic.
