Anchored Casting turns the battlefield into a dynamic trap, allowing the caster to lay magical ambushes with precision and foresight. By channeling a single-target spell into an unoccupied square adjacent to them, the caster creates a magical anchor. This anchor lies dormant until a target enters its space, at which point the spell activates as if the caster were casting it directly on the target in that instant. The mana cost of the spell is paid when the anchor is created, and it lasts for 1 round per rank in Anchored Casting.
The caster can only maintain one anchor at a time, ensuring they carefully choose when and where to deploy this potent tool. If the situation changes, the anchor can be dismissed at any time as a free action. Anchored Casting is a skill prized by strategists and trap-makers, who use it to control the flow of combat and turn the battlefield into their ally.
These bonuses are not automatically added to the Roll20 Character Sheet, and must be added manually.
