This bag of purple powder seems to absorb and reflect both light and shadow, and can both shine bright and fade away depending on how you look at it. It is typically found in mountainsides, hiding parts of the landscape while highlighting others. It is much heavier than normal Sparklepowder, as it comes from deeper within the mountain. This powder can be used in multiple crafting recipes, to add certain benefits associated with Dark Magic. This can be used as an Active Ingredient or an Additive in many recipes. This substance cannot be used in any recipe that does elemental damage.

If used in a Lightning related Alchemical Consumable with a duration (Such as a potion of Lightning Resistance), its duration is doubled. If used in an Lightning related Alchemical Consumable that does damage (Such as a thrown item that does Lightning damage), it upgrades it to a “Super” version, doing 8 extra damage of that type.

If used as an Additive or Powdered Crystal Substitute when forging Armor, the armor gains 2 points of damage reduction to Lightning damage. Damage reduction is applied to damage of that type, before resistance.

If used as an Additive or Powdered Crystal Substitute when forging a weapon, the weapon is enchanted with the Shocking Enchantment. When the weapon damages a target, the target additionally gains a 1d6 lightning-based damage per hit.
