Drill Shot is a specialized technique that allows the archer to enhance the penetrating power of their arrows, making each shot potentially devastating against even the toughest defenses. With one rank in this subskill, the archer gains the Drill Shot ability.

Drill Shot Ability: As a bonus action, which costs 20 Stamina, the archer prepares their next shot with a powerful spin. The arrow is launched with incredible force, designed to pierce through armor. If the archer’s next Archery attack hits the target, the target’s Armor Value is reduced by 10% of the attack’s damage (rounded down), with a minimum reduction of 1 Armor Value. This armor penalty lasts until the armor can be repaired. If the target has natural armor, the Armor Value is restored when the target heals.

However, if the attack misses, the Stamina is still expended, but no armor penalty is applied. The precision required for Drill Shot makes it a calculated risk—the archer must time their attack carefully, but the potential payoff of reducing an enemy’s defenses can turn the tide of battle.

Archers who specialize in Drill Shot excel at wearing down heavily armored foes, creating an opening for themselves and their allies. This subskill makes it easier to break through defensive layers and soften up targets, making subsequent attacks more effective and lethal.

These bonuses are not automatically added to the Roll20 Character Sheet, and must be added manually.”
