Penetrating Strike grants the crossbowman the ability to execute devastating shots that can pierce through multiple targets, a deadly maneuver that capitalizes on well-placed, critical hits. This ability allows the crossbowman to make the most of a lucky shot, turning a single strike into a potential chain of destruction.

Penetrating Strike Ability: Whenever the crossbowman scores a critical hit with a crossbow, they may roll a d100 and add a bonus equal to their ranks in Penetrating Strike and their Luck attribute. If the result is 100 or more, the arrow pierces the target, continuing through to strike the next target in line. The crossbowman then rerolls the attack against the next target, but with a -25 penalty to the Accuracy Check.

This ability is perfect for crossbowmen who thrive on precision and maximizing the potential of every critical hit. When the dice favor them, Penetrating Strike can turn a single successful shot into a powerful chain attack, inflicting significant damage to multiple enemies. However, due to the penalty on the subsequent attack, it requires skill and timing to capitalize on this ability effectively.

These bonuses are not automatically added to the Roll20 Character Sheet, and must be added manually.
