While a forest is full of food and water, much of it will kill you. Ranks in this Subskill will increase your ability to know what is food, and what is poison. This Subskill increases your chance of finding the basics of life when travelling in a forest environment. A Forestry Subskill check can be substituted for a Survival check while you are in a forest, heavily wooded area, or similar environment. Additionally, if you have another Subskill that specifically targets city environments, such as Tracking, you can add your Forestry bonus to your Tracking check.
At Rank 2 of this Subskill or higher, your may add your bonus to your allies’ Survival checks in a Forest (assuming they are not affected by a bonus from a Forestry rank higher than yours), as you can share your knowledge with them.
Additional perks will be unlocked at higher levels of this skill, as players approach them.
