Artistry (Performance)

You understand the essence of the soul, and can interpret this into multiple mediums of artwork. In addition to making money, this Subskill can be used to enhance magic at higher levels. Artistry can be used when hiding traps or Glyphs in plain sight; or to study a pattern or fresco on a wall, as you see the artistry used to compose it; or to copy documents, such as maps. When your bonus increases to +2, you may gain a 25% bonus to money earned using downtime. This bonus is not cumulative with other bonuses from Subskills, except for the bonus from the Subskill Trade.

Artistry can be used when hiding traps or Glyphs in plain sight; or to study a pattern or fresco on a wall, as you see the artistry used to compose it; or to copy documents, such as maps. An Artistry Subskill check can be substituted for a Performance check while you are using your skills to create a visual medium, such as a map, painting, or drawing. Based on your DM’s discretion, your ranks in artistry can be applied as a bonus to certain other checks, such as Deception when attempting Forgery; Arcana when copying Glyphs or Runes; or even Sleight of Hand when creating a very intricate tracing.

At Rank 2 of this Subskill or higher, you gain a +20% bonus to money earned using downtime. This bonus is not cumulative with bonuses from any other Subskills, except for the bonus from the Trade (Persuasion) Subskill.

Additional perks will be unlocked at higher levels of this skill, as players approach them.
