Riding a horse looks brave, but having it pull your chariot or carriage is both more comfortable and more civilized than saddle sores. This Subskill allows you to drive a cart or chariot with extreme proficiency, increasing its speed and accuracy when necessary. A Riding Subskill check can be substituted for an Animal Handling check when riding in a vehicle being pulled by a beast of burden; this includes checks to stay on the cart in the event of disaster, or to manage the cart in a dangerous situation. Additionally, you gain a bonus to Strength or Dexterity saving throws that involve similar situations, such as being thrown off a cart.
At Rank 2 of this Subskill or higher, you can exit a cart moving up to 50 feet per round without needing to roll to avoid damage.
Additional perks will be unlocked at higher levels of this skill, as players approach them.
