Not every combat turn is move and fight, and having a practiced stride can be the difference between saving an ally or watching them fall to an enemy. Running both increases your ability to move quickly, and increases your speed when moving. You may use this Subskill in lieu of an Athletics check when you are running, such as when a skill challenge calls for an overland Athletics check.
Additionally, for each rank you have in this Subskill, you may add a +5 foot bonus to your movement when you use both you use at least two actions (either Bonus, Movement, or Action) to move in the same turn. This includes using your Movement and than your Action to Dash; or your Movement, then a Cunning Action to Dash (or similar). All of the movement must be in a (mostly) straight line with no stopping or other actions as part of it for this bonus to apply (including skirmishing).
Additional perks will be unlocked at higher levels of this skill, as players approach them.
