Balance is a Common skill, and is modified by either your Agility.

Being able to stand on two feet is important, but being able to balance on a rope while fighting off multiple attackers is better. Balance is used when moving across the ledge of a roof; or trying to not fall in slime; or trying to fight monsters from a very difficult position.

As your mastery of Balance grows, you learn to shift your weight instinctively, turning unstable footing into a tactical advantage rather than a liability. A seasoned Chaos Seed can brace against sudden impacts, recover from slips before they become falls, and even strike with precision while perched in precarious positions. In the chaos of battle, where terrain can be just as dangerous as enemies, Balance allows you to remain steady when others falter—transforming narrow ledges, swaying surfaces, and treacherous ground into places of opportunity instead of risk.

Additional perks will be unlocked at higher levels of this skill, as players approach them.

Increased Affinity: When you first attain a new title in Balance (Initiate or Apprentice), you gain a 25%  Affinity increase in either the Balance, Counterweight, Escape, or Falling Skills. You can gain this affinity even if you did not have a previous Affinity Bonus or Ranks in the chosen skill.

Initiate (Ranks 10-19):
Natural Balance: When you are walking on a surface that requires a Balance check, such as a tightrope, you may roll twice and take the best roll. Also your Movement Speed is not reduced in these situations.

Apprentice (Ranks 20-34):
Prone Reposition: When something knocks you prone, you may use your reaction to immediately stand back up. Alternatively, you can choose to be knocked prone, but can fall into a different adjacent square.

All of these bonuses are cumulative.
